The Anne films have long been admired for their attention to period detail, especially when it comes to the costumes. Now, thanks to the talent and perseverance of an avid Anne fan, one of Diana Barry’s costumes from “Anne of Avonlea” has been painstakingly recreated.
Katrina Casey is a costume enthusiast, seamstress and Anne fan who decided to take her love of all things Anne to the next level. Katrina has meticulously recreated Diana Barry's “Honeymoon Dress” as closely as possible completely from scratch! “I have lost track of how many hours of hand-sewing I put into this gown, but I enjoyed every minute of it!” exclaimed Katrina in the e-mail she sent me about the dress.
