The following is the second excerpt from Kevin’s foreword in the “Anne of Green Gables” Centennial Edition novel. In this segment, Kevin explains the importance of staying true to L.M. Montgomery’s visual description of P.E.I. and finding a great cast.

One of the best things about writing The Heroine's Bookshelf was a chance to get "behind the scenes" with some of my favorite authors, including Lucy Maud Montgomery. What I discovered wasn't always savory...turns out my favorite authors had very real, and often very dark, lives. But the chance to go deeper, to look behind the curtain, has made my reading experience all the richer.
