With a total score of 565 “likes” in this final week of the contest – nearly double that of her closest competitor and ally, Marilla Cuthbert - we can now assuredly crown Anne as everyone’s favourite classical heroine. In second place comes Marilla, with 289 votes, Elizabeth Bennet with 249 votes and, very close behind, Jo March, with 239. In total there were a total of 10,045 votes in our four week contest!
And congratulations to the winner of our final week’s prize pack, Kesia Kvill, who voted for Jo March on our Anne of Green Gables Facebook page! Here is what Kesia will be receiving: Magic Island: The Fictions of L.M. Montgomery, Anne of Green Gables in HD, an Exclusive Prop from Wind at My Back/Road to Avonlea (along with a Certificate of Authenticity), Anne of Green Gables Puffed Sleeve 16” Movie Doll and a 90-Day Sullivan Insiders Membership!
